Are you ready for some cheesy power metal? I hope so because Hammerfall has dropped a new album.

Monday Metal: Tombstone by Civil War
Civil War, a power metal band that bases its songs off of history, released a new album. I’ve enjoyed it and actually think it’s better than the band’s previous two albums (which were pretty good in my opinion). As part of the album release the band released a music video for its song Tombstone, which is what we’re listening to this week:
Monday Metal: BFG Division by Mick Gordon
Objectively speaking, the new Doom is hands down the best game to come out this year. In fact it’s the best game to have come out in the last several year. In addition to finely tuned gameplay, over the top levels of violence, and a wonderful arsenal of weaponry Doom also sports a solid soundtrack. This week’s Monday Metal entry is one of my favorite songs from Doom, BFG Division:
Monday Metal: Silver Lake by Dark Moor
I feel like playing some power metal this week so we’re going to go with Dark Moor:
Monday Metal: Videnie by Balkandji
Do you want to hear some Bulgarian folk metal? No? Too bad. My blog, my rules.
Monday Metal: Stand Up and Fight by Turisas
Monday Metal: So. Heavy. by Psychostick
This song pretty much sums up everything there is to sum up about metal and it’s beautiful:
Monda Metal: Літва by Лютавер’е
This week we’re listening to a folk metal band from Belarus, Лютавер’е (Lutavierje if you romanize it). The band has a pretty unique sound to it that I’m really digging.
Monday Metal: More Human Than Human by White Zombie
This week we’re going back to the 1990’s. Although the ’90’s were pretty abysmal as far as music goes, what with the introduction of grunge and other similarly shitty genres, there was some decent metal. White Zombie, for example, put out a lot of good sounds during that time period. One of my favorite songs from that bad is More Human Than Human:
Monday Metal: Bärsärkagång by Raubtier
This week we’re going to listen to a song from Raubtier’s new album. The lyrics are sung in Swedish but English subtitles are provided in the video and, frankly, you should be used to being unable to understand the lyrics of songs I post.
