I don’t have much to say about this song besides it’s awesome. Lordi is kind of like Gwar since they wear costumes but Lordi’s music is much closer to hard rock than, well, whatever genre of metal Gwar plays:

This week we’re going a little Swedish industrial with Raubtier. Världsherravälde, which translations into world domination, is a bad ass video full of people smashing things. While I’m not sure what exactly they’re singing about I have looked up some translations and in general the song is about the metalheads rising up and destroying hip-hop and MTV, a theme I can get entirely behind:

The Metal Gods informed me that my tribute of metal over the last week has satisfied them. It appears as though I will still be granted entry into Valhalla upon my death so that’s a relief. Let us never forget that The Gods Made Heavy Metal:

There is no giant Norse God standing over me making threats of annihilation which is certainly an improvement. I’m not going to tempt fate though and will continue on with Manowar Week with Kings of Metal:

Well Thor finally went away happy with the tribute I paid to his father Odin. Unfortunately the Metal Gods are still not entirely satisfied. They wish to remind me that those who follow the light of the Metal Gods are always Fighting the World:

So Thor is still standing behind me, holding Mjölnir, and threatening to make me feel the wrath of his hammer. Obviously I’ve not paid proper tribute to the Metal Gods yet. Here’s my third attempt at salvation, Sons of Odin:

I went ahead and posted a Manowar song for Monday Metal and found out that a single song by that band isn’t a proper contribution to the Metal Gods. To save my soul from eternal damnation and banishment from Valhalla I’m promptly declaring this week Manowar Week. Every day this week I’ll be posting a song by Manowar and hopefully satisfy the Metal Gods with my offering. This evening the song is Warriors of the World United:

Manowar is the band that embodies all that is metal. They’ve managed to break their own record for loudest concert ever and their music defines metal. You also know a band is metal when they write a song called Die for Metal:
