Powerwolf’s new album was released on Friday and it sounds pretty much the same as their previous albums, which is to say it sounds awesome. This week’s Monday Metal entry is my favorite song off of that album, Killers with the Cross:

Korpiklaani introduced me to folk metal, which still remains one of my favorite genres of metal. Likewise, Korpiklaani still remains one of my favorite bands. The band is releasing a new album and the first song off of it, Kotikonnut, has been posted for our listening pleasure:

One of my favorite power metal bands, Powerwolf, has released a new song. Being a Powerwolf song, this sticks entirely with the band’s established shtick. If you enjoy that, there’s a good chance that you’ll enjoy this song. If not, you probably won’t like this song either.

This week for a change of pace we’re listening to a New Zealand thrash metal band that creates a lot of music in the Māori language.
