It’s been a couple of weeks since I posted on a Monday but Monday Metal is back. I decided to mark the return with some cheesy power metal. This week’s entry is Blind and Frozen by Beast in Black, which is pretty damned cheesy and pretty damned good:

Monday Metal: Wisdom Eyes by Nine Treasures
I’m a huge fan of Mongolian history and folk metal so any band that combines those two interests competently becomes a favorite in my book. Nine Treasures manages to do exactly that. The bands latest album, Wisdom Eyes, dropped last week so this week we’re going to listen to the title track off of that album:
Monday Metal: Epona by Eluveitie
Eluveitie’s new album, Evocation II: Pantheon, dropped on Friday so I decided that we’re going to listen to another song off of that album. This week we’re listening to Epona, which is the other song that the band released a music video for. It’s actually my favorite song off of the album.
Monday Metal: Will of the Strong by White Skull
Monday Metal: Lvgvs by Eluveitie
Eluveitie, one of my favorite folk metal bands, went through a fairly significant lineup change last year. Now that it appears that it has finalized its new lineup, Eluveitie is getting ready to release its next album, Evocation II: Pantheon. Like Evocation I: The Arcane Dominion, Evocation II will be an acoustic album, which I’m not terribly wild about but since Evocation I was a good album I have some hope for the band’s new acoustic effort. Moreover, the music video released for the album is actually pretty catchy:
Monday Metal: New World’s Comin’ by Lords of Black
Monday Metal: Sons of Odin by Brothers of Metal
Monday Metal: The World is Yours by Arch Enemy
Arch Enemy has released a new song for its upcoming album, Will To Power. The song is exactly what you’d expect from Arch Enemy. There are growling vocals, solid guitar work, and, of course, revolutionary lyrics.
Monday Metal: Flamma Idola by Yousei Teikoku
I feel like listening to some Japanese power metal today:
