Most people who follow this website probably heard this news already but I’m still going to post it. It seems as though the Republicans will have the chance to nominate a great candidate this year in the form of Ron Paul who is now officially making his bid for the presidency.
Don’t get me wrong I’m under no delusions that the Republican Party will allow Dr. Paul to get the nomination as that would be a good decision and the Republicans seem to be fairly adverse to good decisions (as are the Democrats in all fairness). Even if Dr. Paul doesn’t get the nomination it will be great hearing him in the debates just for the common sense factor.
He is probably the only discussed candidate so far that could realistically beat Obama. Since he can pick off votes on the left and the right (Better on drug policy for the left, better on Peace than Obama, etc). He really has the ability to divide the Democrats which I like. Of course one of my local Libertarian friends likes to say Democrats are Libertarians who don’t understand economics, and I think there is a point to be made there, so I have high hopes that he will convert more people over to the cause of liberty at the very least.
Oh yes. He is strongest polled to beat Obama from any Republican nomination.
He motivates people from all corners of this great country so, honestly, it maybe a little difficult to say what will happen.
Constitutionally, legislatively, and morally, Ron Paul has no equal. His 22 year voting record speaks for itself. The World is watching. Ron Paul for President in 2012.
Thank You
