When the Zimmerman case first hit the public spotlight NBC released an edited 911 tape to make it appear as though Zimmerman’s actions were race related. NBC’s actions may make Zimmerman a very wealthy man:
Lawyers for George Zimmerman are seeking punitive damages from NBC over edits of a police call he made on the night Trayvon Martin was killed.
They allege heavily edited extracts of the call made Mr Zimmerman appear racist in the eyes of the public.
NBC issued over the incident but by then the damage had been done. In the eye’s of the public Zimmerman was viewed as a racist who gunned down Trayvon Martin not because he was pounding Zimmerman’s head into the pavement but because he was black. To this day people are still stating that Zimmerman’s actions were race related even though evidence strongly supports Zimmerman’s claim that he was being attacked by Trayvon and fired in self-defense.
I am glad he chose to do this because at some point something should happen to journalists who destroy the truth in the interest of pushing a political agenda.
Also how has Zimmerman not been granted the “Stand Your Ground” hearing that should make this whole episode go away? It’s been nearly a year since the killing and he is still facing a murder charge.
Especially when the amount of damage done was so great. By fabricating evidence NBC probably did a bang up job of contaminating the jury pool and making the chance of Zimmerman getting a fair trial almost zero.
Simple, the prosecution is desperate to use this case to advance her career. She wants Zimmerman in prison so she can go around claiming she put away a child murdering racist. Half of her work has already been done for her as media outlets such as NBC have done an excellent job of fabricating evidence to make Zimmerman appear to be racist and thus increase popular support for hanging the man.
In other words this case is about politics.
