I just got back from Texas so it’s going to take me a bit to get back into the swing of regular life. Updates should start appearing soonish rather than laterish.

Busy, busy here. Needless to say there are no updates today. Check back Monday.

Just a heads up, it’s going to be a very slow news day today. As you can see from my other post I spent all last night play with my Palm Pre instead of punching up stories for this site. I’m sure you’ll survive the drought of news here for one day.

OK everybody I’m back from Defcon 18. I’ll have regular posting return tomorrow with some sporadic posting today while I get back into the swing of things.

Here’s one quick pro tip though; don’t fly Sun Country Airlines. I’ll explain more in a later post but those guys are total fucking assholes.

OK this is going to serve as a heads up to everybody reading this site. I’m heading out to Defcom 18 in Las Vegas. Due to the fact I’m not really willing to touch any network within 50 miles for a hacker conference updates are going to be extremely sporadic if they show up at all. Defcon prides itself on have the most hostile network in the world and I’m staying in the same hotel as the conference is being held in meaning the entire network will be flooded with script kiddies as well as people who know what they’re doing. The bottom line is even cell phone calls aren’t safe (granted my phone is CDMA and therefore not threatened by that event but still I bet somebody has a means of spying on CDMA calls there as well). It should be a ton of fun though and yes this is what I consider a vacation.

Also it’s in Las Vegas meaning I’ll have 4G coverage. I’ll make sure to test the speeds on my Evo 4G and report on my findings. Then I can finally write up a conclusive review of the phone.

Either way I’ll try to get some stuff up on here during my vacation but I’m not promising anything.

Yeah I know I just got back but I’m already taking a day off. I’m not going to have immediate access to my computer so I’ll be unable to provide any updates tomorrow. I’m sure you’ll survive one more day without my glorious writings of insanity.

Good news everybody I have an Internet connection at home and it’s fast. I hope to be back to regular posting speed tomorrow morning although if setting up my VPN server (did I mention I have a static IP address this time) takes longer than expected it may still end up being a slower day. Either way I’ll have stuff on the site for you to read again.

All I can say is it’ll be nice to be back with civilization again.

A new discovery in the field of clean energy has been found today. It comes from the newly discovered universal constant. Much like E = mc² the new constant states R = ci^t where ‘R’ is the amount of rage in the universe, ‘c’ is Christopher Burg, and ‘i’ is the lack of Internet connectivity at the home of ‘c’, and ‘t’ is the amount of time in seconds. As scientists have found the longer ‘c’ goes without ‘i’ the more rage exponentially increases in the universe. If harnessed this rage could be an every increasing clean energy source.

Scientist are currently looking at ways of harnessing this power safely. Unfortunately this is where a roadblock has been encountered. It seems a side effect has also been discovered as ‘t’ increases the danger of ‘c’ also increases exponentially. ‘R’ appears to become less and less directed as ‘t’ increases leading ‘c’ to lash out at more and more things. The last scientist who attempted to enter the residence of ‘c’ was mauled by a velociraptor. Although the velociraptor has been extinct for 65 million years it appears with enough ‘R’ they can be conjured back into existence and sent to attack unsuspecting scientists.

Time is ticking. Scientists have learned that ‘t’ will continue increasing for roughly another week before being reset to 1. The amount of damage that could occur if ‘c’ is not safely contained is as-of-yet unknown but best estimates put the destructive power to roughly that of the angry wrath of Thor combined with the angry wrath of Odin. Scientists are urging people to remain calm during this potential crisis.
