High Speed Low Drag RAM

A company named G.Skill is releasing RAM for operators who like to operate in Call of Duty. Supposedly the RAM is supposed to look like a rifle but I only seem a slight resemblance honestly. With that said it does have some neat benefits:

According to G.Skill, the new Sniper series was designed in ultra-low voltage, particularly 1.25V. This feature alone points to a possible power savings of up to 10-percent, allowing PC gamers to push other components without having to worry about overheating issues with the memory. G.Skill said it performed extensive compatibility tests across a wide range of Intel and AMD platforms to “guarantee the best performance, quality and reliability for user’s gaming needs.”

Whenever a component manufacturer can reduce the amount of power a component uses while keeping good performance it’s a good thing. Power consumption means heat which is a pain in the ass. Hell you should see the heat sinks of my Mac Pro’s RAM, damn FB-DIMMs have heat sinks large enough to be mistaken for rectangular processors.

America, Fuck Yeah

I don’t think it’s possible for this company to stick the word “America” into their motto any more times and have it make grammatical sense:

Made In America By Americans That Appreciate America And The US Constitution!!!

That’s a whole lot of America right there… and exclamation points. But hey if you’re looking for remanufactured ammunition and you love America these may be the people for you to do business with.

One Reason to Adopt H&K

Do you need a reason to adopt the overly expensive H und K pistol? I have a reason for you, if you don’t they will sue your sorry ass (in all fairness Walther is in on this as well but they’re not as much fun to ridicule):

Earlier this year the Dutch police announced the adoption of a new pistol, the Sig Sauer PPNL (Police Pistol Netherlands).

Heckler & Koch and Walther, who lost out on the contract, have announced their intention to take the government to court over the decision.

I wonder if H und K has superior German engineered lawyers.

Printing Magazines

No not paper magazines, firearm magazines. It’s no secret that I have a huge love of 3D printers. I think it’s awesome being able to take rolls of plastic and print out useful objects. Sebastian has apparently been working on the idea of printing up some firearm magazines and has posted some initial schematics.

This is an awesome proposal for the use of an awesome technology. I’ll be excited to see how it turns out.

An Ironic Turn of Events

A scumbag broke into somebody’s home then called 911 because he feared the homeowner had a gun:

Chapek locked himself in the bathroom and made an emergency call, police said. He said he had broken into the house, the owner had come home, and that he was concerned the owner might have a gun.

That just puts a smile on my face. One benefit of an armed society as we have in America is the fact you can’t know whether or not somebody has a gun. If the thug in this story knew for sure the homeowner was unarmed he may have decided to attack him instead of barricading himself in a bathroom and calling 911. I’m also impressed with the following fact:

Police with dogs took Chapek, 24, into custody “without incident,” they said. He was booked for criminal trespass.

They did not say if the homeowner did in fact have a gun.

The police didn’t report if the homeowner had a gun. The problem with reporting if the homeowner had a gun is the fact that, if identified, the homeowner could become a target for thiefs wanting to steal guns.

I’ll Take Three

Well I’d take three if I could legally own them. A Germany company named SIGG produced a full auto rear plate for Glock pistols that is supposedly universal. I’d love to go to the range with a full auto Glock 30SF. Why? Because it would be wicked cool and I don’t think my 30-round .45 magazine would last that long (which is cool).

If only I lived in a free country where we could legally own fully automatic firearms.

Real Operators Dual Wield

Are you a real operator? Can you operate the in most extreme conditions this side of the Mall of America? Have you performed a HALO jump through the skylight, rappelled down to the ground, and uses your SCAR 17 to take on dozens of evil terrorists? If you’ve answered yes to these questions you may be ready for the dual Glock machine pistol because handguns are only effective if you dual wield them and nobody would carry a non-automatic handgun into their zone of operations.
