Now here is a cruise ship I wish I’d be on. 70,000 Tons of Metal is a cruise ship with 40 heavy metal bands on board. This has to be the most bad ass ship on the sea and I honestly don’t think the entire United States Navy could take this single ship on.
Also Amon Amarth will be on board. Yes we have vikings on a ship for the first time in centuries… this isn’t going to be good for the ports this ship visits.
It seems the Center for Biological Diversity didn’t get what they wanted. The EPA denied their petition based on legal issues that were brought up by the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF):
Steve Owens, EPA assistant administrator for the Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention, said, “EPA today denied a petition submitted by several outside groups for the agency to implement a ban on the production and distribution of lead hunting ammunition. EPA reached this decision because the agency does not have the legal authority to regulate this type of product under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) – nor is the agency seeking such authority.”
Good work everybody who wrote the EPA.

OK I like this, I like this a lot. Somebody has setup a site called Gun Owners Against Illegal Mayors. This was bound to happen of course and the site is full of win. It lists the rap sheets of members in Mayors Against Illegal Guns who have committed crimes.
Damned if you don’t.
A lady in New Mexico found out you really can’t win when it comes to laws. She was ticketed for driving 6mph under the speed limit. Whether you’re speeding or not it seems the police will give you a ticket.
With that said one of the things that pisses me off like no other are slow drivers. Realize I don’t have a lead foot… I have a mercury filled foot. I want to get from point A to point B as fast as possible regardless of my mode of transportation and when somebody interferes with my goal of approaching the speed of light I get angry. So this is one time when I’m going to say a good on that police officer. Although I’m against tickets for victimless crimes driving to slow does have victims, my heart due to sharp rising in blood pressure and rage.
The Firearms Blog has a good post showing that guns are officially back in style in America. Dodge is offering an option of their Ram trucks, a built-in gun locker.
Hell yes! I would really like to see Ford offer something like this on their Ranger line.
Style points are awarded to this man. Apparently a flight attendant got into a kerfuffle with a passenger. Instead of just taking it the attendant brought down a rain of profanity against the passenger and then concluded by pulling the emergency chute, sliding down the inflatable slide, and running from the airport. It is not known if the flight attendant first put on a top hate and a monocle before his brilliant exit.
It is reported that the attendant has been arrested, probably for being way too fucking awesome. As they say play big or go home.
A picture of a sign appearing on a Texas bank window is on display at Gun Free Zone. Going by that picture I must say it sounds like a bank I’d enjoy doing business with.
Strike another victory for the good guys. The Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) recently won a court battle. The case was over whether or not police could place a GPS tracking device onto a person’s vehicle without a warrant. Thankfully the court decided that was a no go and such activity does in fact require a warrant be issued.
Good on you EFF.
Well it looks like Wikileaks is in the news again. This time they have released 91,000 reports from Afghanistan which they claim to be about lethal actions taking in that region. I’m sure it’s an interesting read and they have posted a downloadable version of the reports. I’d say get them while they’re hot in case they end up going away.
