In New York Dictators have More Right than You

Welcome to Mayor Bloomberg’s home, New York. Here the only people allowed to carry guns are the police, criminals, and foreign dictators. The latest episode of No Agenda started out with Adam Curry talking about the gun toting body cards of Libya’s own dictator. It seems Moammar Khadafy travels with an entourage of 40 to 50 armed women. Furthermore they will be in Manhattan for the United Nations General Assembly.

I hope you feel good about New York now because you, as a regular citizen, have less rights in that city than foreign dictators.

It’s Official Obama is a Communist

What makes it official? Well Fidel Castro himself complemented Obama on a job well done. OK I purposely titled the article something facetious. Honestly Castro just went on record complementing Obama on his speed dealing with Al Gore’s money making scheme global warming.

I just wanted to be the first to say Obama is a communist because Castro complemented him. Seriously it’s going to happen all over Fox news, I’ll be you money on it (well not real money but I’ll bet made up monopoly money).

When States are Poor it’s a Tax Dodge

OK I’m not a fan of Microsoft’s business practices in general but I’m becoming less of a fan of this whole desire to clamp down on so-called tax dodges. See it’s only in a time of economic downturn does the government start to consider legal business practices tax dodges. Let’s take Microsoft for instance.

Microsoft’s main headquarter is in Redmond, Washington. This is the location a majority of their development work is done. But development work isn’t their money maker, licensing their developed software is. Washington state charges a .484% software royalty tax, meanwhile Nevada charges no such tax. Microsoft, being a large business who knows how to handle tax codes, built their license center in Nevada. The license center is the arm of Microsoft that actually deals with licensing the software which is considered the sale.

This is how the United States works, if you don’t like one state you go to another. Washington knew they could generate revenue by establishing a software royalty tax since they had the worlds largest software company in their state. This means the state created an environment hostile to its largest company to make some more money. Microsoft realizing they are getting a bad deal moved their software sales department somewhere less hostile to their business.

Well some guy has decided that the way to fix Washington’s current budget problems is to charge Microsoft the software royalty tax anyways. These are the types of ideas that really piss me off honestly. The writer proclaims Microsoft is getting preferential treatment and is dodging taxes. I’ll be totally honest if I owned a business and after some time the state enacted a tax aim specifically to make money off of my company I’d have done the same thing as Microsoft. It’s probably not feasible to move the entire company due to having to move all the employees but if it were feasible I’d move the entire operation.

I’m not a fan of Microsoft, in fact they really don’t make any products beyond the XBox 360 that I like. But I get pissed off when somebody who doesn’t like a company decides that we should attack it via labeling them with some arbitrary title. In this case that title would be tax dodger, which as we know is becoming the boogeyman label given by our government.

Don’t Fuck with Honduras

Unlike our country the Hondurans actually take leaders going against their constitution seriously. When you’re a president of Honduras and you try to illegal extend your term expect their congress to send in the military to remove you from office. Furthermore if you are so fortunate to have gone through this series of events and only been exiled from the country don’t come back.

Well moron ex-president Zelaya returned to Honduras and decided to hide out in the Brazil embassy. Of course the legal government of Honduras isn’t happy with this and have surrounded the embassy and cut off their power, water, and food. They want their exiled president to be brought forth to face trail.

It’s nice to see a country that actually enforces their constitution very strictly. When they say a president can’t make a referendum to extend his term they fucking mean it.

So Where’s That Change

It appears as if the current administration is all for extending the three sections of the PATRIOT Act that are set to expire this year. Of course they give the standard bull shit proclaiming how their willing to listen to privacy concerns:

In a letter to lawmakers, Justice Department officials said the administration supports extending the three expiring provisions of the law, although they are willing to consider additional privacy protections as long as they don’t weaken the effectiveness of the law

But of course only if it still allows them to stomp on civil rights:

Assistant Attorney General Ronald Weich wrote Sen. Patrick Leahy, the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, that the administration is willing to consider stronger civil rights protections in the new law “provided that they do not undermine the effectiveness of these important (provisions).”

So yeah they are willing to put some clauses in that will “protect” civil rights so long as it doesn’t protect civil rights and nullify their imaginary effectiveness.

So remind me how this is hope or change.

Seriously Obama Take a Break

I mean come on you need to slow down. You’re goal of turning this country into a government controller state is getting out of hand. If you don’t slow down the entire country will be government regulated and controller then what are you doing to do? Sit on your but all day and not have anything to do that’s what.

Why am I brining this up? Because the Obamessiah is now pushing for further government control over the financial sector under the name of an overhaul. He’s going to be giving a speech urging more power to be given to the central bank and Federal Reserve. From the article:

The White House would give the central bank, the Federal Reserve, new powers over huge financial firms and the ability to seize banks whose collapse could threaten the economy.

Yes that’s going to work out just great, give the assholes who helped cause this problem more control. It’s not like the government was encouraging banks to give loans for houses that people couldn’t afford. But hey Obama is going to work on his promise to save or create jobs in the only way he knows how, create more federal agencies:

Mr Obama also wants a new watchdog, the Consumer Financial Protection Agency, for products like mortgages, car loans and credit cards and the Federal Trade Commission will gain new powers to protect consumers.

This is going to be great because the federal government has been oh so good at protecting consumers from themselves. Let’s all thank Uncle Sam for taking control of our lives and regulating us heavily to protect us from what we may do to ourselves. Fuck personal responsibility we need to be told what to do otherwise we’ll fuck ourselves over!

If anybody didn’t get smeared with the sarcasm dripping off of that previous statement your obviously wearing a very thick rain jacket.

The Truth About Bloomberg’s Posse

The truth is Bloomberg’s deceptively named group, Mayors Against Illegal Guns, is just that deceptively named. I found a great story via the NRA ILA about one such mayor who was deceived.

Mayor Ernie Wiggins doesn’t remember signing up for the organization. He did sign up for their mailing list but didn’t remember actually lending his name to the organization:

“I’ll be honest when I say I don’t recall signing up for the coalition’s membership and obviously I didn’t realize what it was all about,” Wiggins said.

He said he originally signed up to be on the coalition’s e-mail list to follow its information, but did not agree to become a coalition member.

Additionally:

“Frankly, I don’t recall if I responded to the e-mails when they e-mailed to ask me if I wanted to continue to receive the e-mails,” Wiggins said. “All of a sudden I am a member of this organization, and frankly on the surface the organization sounds innocent, who’s not against illegal guns?”

That’s exactly the point I want people to realized. The name of the organization is far different than their mission. Having a group named Mayors Against Illegal Guns seems to imply the group is against just that, illegal guns. The problem is Bloomberg is using his group to attack guns in general regardless of legal status. I’m sure many members of the group don’t even realize this fact and that’s why we need to let them know.

And letting them know is key. Mayor Wiggins left due to request by rights minded citizens of the NRA:

“I do respect local people who are members of the National Rifle Association who have asked me to remove my name from the membership, and I have done so,” Wiggins said.

If we don’t let the listed members of that group know the truth behind the organization they’re supposedly members of they may never find out. It’s out job as activists to give information to other people, especially those who need it most.

Keep up the good work everybody, we’re slowly whittling away at Bloomberg’s posse. If we keep this up he won’t have enough rich elitists to put up any kind of real fight against the rights of American citizens.

Hypocrisy Today

Man I just love hypocrisy, especially when it comes from those who like to play the holier than thou card. Well I’m sure you’ve all heard about Representative Joe Wilson’s outburst during Obama’s recent speech. Well honestly the outburst really is a non-story but boy are those “progressive” liberals jumping on it as if it is.

See as I’ve stated many times I have a lot of liberal friends, some are just liberal while others are “progressive” liberals. They always harp on me when I start going against an elected official because they’re anti-gun. It’s mostly how adamant I become at getting the representative out of office that they distain. Well I’m looking at my Facebook page this morning and noticing a trend that seemed to start last night. Many of my liberal friends are calling for Mr. Wilson’s head. I’ve seen enough posts on the man who plans to run against him in the upcoming election to choke a horse. They’re becoming zealous in the mission to remove this man.

I guess I should just write it off as a do as I say not as I do thing. It’s funny to me watching the hypocrisy unfold.

Another Bloomberg Posse Member Bites the Dust

Man good news abound today. From the NRA ILA I see Seattle’s anti-gun mayor Greg Nickels has lost in the primaries. That’s another Mayors Against Illegal Guns crony out of the picture. I have to say Bloomberg certainly picked a deceptive enough name for his organization but apparently common sense is winning out and gun abolishment isn’t a popular idea in this country.

An Even Trade

The death of Mr. Kuhn is tragic but it looks like it ended in an even trade. Devote anti-freedom senator of Massachusetts, Ted Kennedy, has also died. Although death is never a good thing nor would I wish death on most people but I’m certainly not shedding tears here. Some people say you shouldn’t talk bad about the dead. I personally think you should talk honestly about the dead.

Former senator Kennedy was a bastard to say the least. I’m not just talking about the fact he was anti-gun either. Look up the Chappaquiddick incident which is where the phrase “Ted Kennedy’s car has killed more people than my guns” comes from. He also tried pushing government controlled health care on us after he got cancer, which he said made him realize the need. Bullshit he was rich enough to afford the best medical treatment, but hey I’m sure the current administration will use Kennedy’s death as a mean to push the public health care bill through.

Anyways I’m not glad he’s dead but I’m certainly not sad either.
