New 1911 with Amazing New Features

Wow I just went over to The Firearms Blog where I saw a picture of what appears to be a brand new 1911 with some amazing features. Here is the picture:

Nothing a few interesting things? Well first the gun doesn’t have an ejection port. This may seem strange but this 1911 seems to be advanced enough to not actually shoot the bullet and eject the casing but shoot the bullet and casing out together. I’m not sure if this is a new caliber or bullet design but it certainly will make recovering your brass a bitch.

This gun also appears to have some kind of double trigger system. I’m unsure what this is supposed to do although I theorize it’s a method of getting around the ATF ban on machine guns. If a gun fires two or more rounds per trigger pull it’s a machine gun. Meanwhile if you have two triggers lines up together you can pull one and fire the first round. After that the front trigger will move back to press into the rear one firing another round with one trigger squeeze. This is obviously a self defense gun as this will assist the user in performing double taps.

This is certainly going to be an interesting gun when it’s officially introduced. I’m surprised it was covered in a campus newspaper actually. I’m guessing some students there helped develop it.

No the NRA aren’t Bullying Children

Man you just have to love the mainstream media, you always know where they stand. I’m not sure if any of your heard but Florida has been looking into changing their state bird from the mockingbird. Well NRA board member Marion Hammer, a fan of the mockingbird, has been working hard to ensure things remain the same.

Likewise Florida let school children vote on a new bird. So the mainstream media is making it sound as if the NRA is not only directly fighting the change of the state bird but is also hating on children.

The problem is, as Sebastian on Snowflakes in Hell points out, neither accusation is true. See if you are member of an organization you can also do things independently of that organization. For instance I’m a member of the company I work at. According to the mainstream media that would imply my entire company is fighting for gun rights which isn’t true. See I’m working independently from the company that employs me. Just because one member of an organization does something doesn’t mean the entire organization is working with them.

Of course being the media is so anti-gun they love nothing more than making accusations against the big bad evil NRA who now also hate children.

Maybe Drunken Carrying is a Problem in New York

A few posts ago I mentioned Bloomberg was getting his knickers in a bunch over a non-issue, which is people drunkenly carrying firearms in New York. Well I found a good post on Snowflakes in Hell that adds legitimacy to Bloomberg’s hysterics.

William Powell is a 15 year veteran of the Queens (as in Brooklyn not Britain) police department. Well he was out and about off duty while drunkenly carrying a firearm which he accidentally shot off blowing a hold through his friend’s car. Of course guns don’t just go off unless you’re playing with them:

“He was wasted drunk,” said a source. “He said he was adjusting his gun and it went off.”

And here we’re always told police are the only ones responsible enough to carry a firearm. Some responsibility there.

Hypocrisy Today

Man I just love hypocrisy, especially when it comes from those who like to play the holier than thou card. Well I’m sure you’ve all heard about Representative Joe Wilson’s outburst during Obama’s recent speech. Well honestly the outburst really is a non-story but boy are those “progressive” liberals jumping on it as if it is.

See as I’ve stated many times I have a lot of liberal friends, some are just liberal while others are “progressive” liberals. They always harp on me when I start going against an elected official because they’re anti-gun. It’s mostly how adamant I become at getting the representative out of office that they distain. Well I’m looking at my Facebook page this morning and noticing a trend that seemed to start last night. Many of my liberal friends are calling for Mr. Wilson’s head. I’ve seen enough posts on the man who plans to run against him in the upcoming election to choke a horse. They’re becoming zealous in the mission to remove this man.

I guess I should just write it off as a do as I say not as I do thing. It’s funny to me watching the hypocrisy unfold.

Swine Flu Must be Killing Everybody

Another good story from the excellent No Agenda podcast. Remember how swine flu was the epidemic that was going to wipe out all life on Earth and possibly other planets? Due help people cope with this the United Kingdom setup swine flu call centers. People who have symptoms can call this hotline and be diagnosed over the phone. Should you have swine flu they will dispatch a “swine flu buddy” to pick up Tamiflu for you. Of course due to the extreme epidemic level of this disease they opened a ton of call centers.

Well apparently either swine flu has killed everybody or nobody is really getting it. See two call centers are being shut down since the employees are playing Monopoly and Trivial Pursuit due to lack of incoming calls. This is what hysteria gets you ladies and gentleman, overreaction to a non-issue.

This Just in Ted Kennedy is Still Dead

Well it seems official, Ted Kennedy is still dead. Apparently they are having a public viewing so I’m assuming they didn’t even need to drive a stake through his heart to keep him down. That’s a little surprising for me. Maybe somebody who is going to the funeral should do that just to be sure though.

Good riddance you bastard. Getting away with murder just because of the family you hail from shouldn’t be legal in this country, but he proved it is. Then again I guess it’s not murder when you drive your car into a body of water and swim away while leaving the other passenger to her death. Nope that’s not murder that’s cowardice and being an accessory to murder.

I hope you get into Heaven just so Mary Jo Kopechne has her chance to kick your ass.

Real Gun vs. Nail Gun

A funny story from Says Uncle. A moron in Jacksonville, Florida entered a bar waiving around a nail gun. The bar tender took this act as a robbery attempt and responded in kind. The nail gun wielding individual received rounds from a real gun and died on the spot.

Remember when it’s a battle between a nail gun and a real gun the real gun will always win unless there is some fluke.

This Case Won’t Die

Seriously this is getting ridiculous, when you think the SCO vs. IBM lawsuit is dead it rises again from the dead. For those of you who don’t know SCO sued IBM back in 2003 for the sum of $1 billion because SCO thought they owned the rights to UNIX. See Linux killed their business and IBM was one of Linux’s largest supporters as well as a supporter with lots of money so they became target one. Well things became fortunate when a court ruling stated Novell owned the rights to UNIX and Novell was more than happy to let other people use it.

That ruling has now been overturned allowing what is left of SCO to continue going after IBM. The worst part is SCO never once provided proof that it owned the rights to UNIX nor that Linux contained any code from SCO’s UNIX. They also kept changing their claims and tactics which dragged the case one for many years while draining SCO’s small amount of money. Of course Microsoft, who Linux has been steadily chipping away at, eventually floated SCO some money to keep the lawsuit going. Even that money wasn’t enough because after it was ruled Novell owned the rights to UNIX SCO had to file Chapter 11.

Sadly it seems as though this case will rise from the dead. Cripes!

Media Bias, I Don’t Believe It

Man I find a treasure trove of great articles on Says Uncle. For instance apparently the media only feel those who oppose them and carry guns are worth shitting bricks over. Take a look at this article on MSNBC. From the article:

Holding anti-health care reform signs, soliciting car honks; the tenor of the shallow sea of signs the same.

Except for one counterprotester, apparently the only one within shouting distance. The man would only give his first name as he stood alone, wearing a Yankee baseball team shirt, a handgun on his hip, holding a contrary sign.

Oh shit he’s got a gun, PANIC! Well not so much:

“Part of my passion as a Democrat is the right to bear arms,” Josh said.

A veteran, and from a long family history of veterans, the man who was very much alone in the small crowd of protesters said he believed in fighting for the less fortunate.

“I am a firm supporter of health care for every American,” he said.

Wasn’t there panic and hysteria because people opposing government health care control brought guns to a protest? Shouldn’t there be equal panic and hysteria over a man for government health care control carrying a gun? I mean I thought the reason people were carrying guns to these protests was to intimidate the other side, that’s what the media said. Funny how they are outraged when people don’t agree with them and completely meh when people do agree with them.
